Hammerhead - RT

The Hammerhead RT, WalkAbout's seventh generation rugged Tablet PC, is a value-class Windows-based mobile computer designed for customers who require protection from the daily rigors of field use and harsh environmental conditions. Featuring a durable magnesium housing, IP64 rating and 3.9lb weight, the Hammerhead RT is the most rugged, reliable, and lightweight Tablet PC in its class. With legacy dock compatibility and hot-swappable batteries, customers are assured of seamless operations and improved productivity.

The Hammerhead RT800 features an 800 MHz Mobile Intel® Pentium® III Processor-M with enhanced Intel® Speedstep® Technology in a rugged magnesium housing with molded rubber bumpers for extra protection.

The Hammerhead RT933 includes upgraded features such as 933 MHz Mobile Intel® Pentium® III Processor-M with enhanced Intel® Speedstep® Technology, integrated Ethernet, internal radio options including GPS, CDMA and GPRS, as well as a molded shock absorbing WalkAbout carry case.

Both models offer a Type III PCMCIA slot that accommodates up to two Type II PC or Cardbus cards and sealed doors that maintain the units' IP64 rating. Pen tablet and touchscreen versions of the Hammerhead RT line are available with a 10.4" XGA or SVGA Transmissive display or WalkAbout's new All-Vis Indoor/Outdoor Transflective display, which provides superior viewing in both indoor and outdoor lighting conditions.
